ABOUT

The GOAT is an small independent company that was formed in 2021 with a view to bring some safe, open air theatre to Manchester city centre in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Working closely with The Great Northern Warehouse and having successfully been granted support from Arts Council England, The GOAT brought a three-week summer Shakespeare festival to the Great Northern Amphitheatre in August 2021.
Going forward, The GOAT team is searching for a more permanent home in the North West. Until we find a successful match, we're not currently planning to produce any shows in 2022 but please make sure to follow us on social media or sign up to our newsletter so that we can keep you updated if we do manage to find a new outdoor home!
You can read an interview with Evelyn, the director of The GOAT with A Younger Theatre here: GOAT Mcr festival: "Audiences like the danger of live theatre" (ayoungertheatre.com)
We can't thank our artists, audiences and partners enough for the success of last years' festival and we hope to eventually return with a bang! When we do, we hope we'll see you then!
